Being a reader and fan of Shift since the 90s, I couln’t resist submitting when they announced a competition to make the new logo. A total of 485 works were submitted from 40 different countries. While mine didn’t make it to the top, I’m honored to be among the nominees.

Deleted Scenes Magazine is out now. The website has info on where it can be purchased, and I’ve heard they’re planning on selling it online as well soon. I was asked to contribute with a piece and was given the theme “Rock and Scroll”. Also my good friends Diogo Valério and Erik Hedberg feature with a collaborative effort. This is the first issue of Deleted Scenes and it looks promising.
On tuesday March 11, I was invited to have a day’s workshop on logo design at AHO – The Oslo School of Architecture and Design, along with their regular lecturerAnne Mellbye. I was great seeing industrial designers and architects’ take on logo design, and I was surprised to see how good some of the logos were, even though it’s not their usual subject. It would have been great to have had more time to follow up, though. One day is hardly enough time to get very in depth on any subject. Still great fun and inspiring.
